Incredible Views!
Spectacular Vistas!
That’s what you get when you Scramble in Banff National Park!
Be prepared!
Scrambling is
%$*#%#$ing
DANGEROUS!
Some very tough jaunts…. yet this sport is rewarding!
Do not be fooled. Know your situation. The Rockies are notorious for rock fall. And a lapse in attention can turn a wrong turn on the way down into a dangerous steep decent through gully or cliff band.
It can be very sketchy!
“I have been with experienced hardcore climbers that enjoyed a sketchy, pants crapping descent!
Just like that we were on an icy steep slope covered in pine needles sending us both hurtling down in a combination of skids jumps rolls and bounces, and only by luck made it down. As we both somehow slid uncontrollably past many gullies Somehow navigating our way through an abundance of trees. The good thing is we were down in no time”
me.
Do not get Killed Scrambling!
Remember just in all outdoor challenges the goal is to make it back to your car, actually to the bar, “weather” you summit or not. (yes that is a pun – i think)
I have attempted more then 1000 peaks yet summit-ed less then one quarter of the time at best. Although i am running.
